Arrangement for exhibition in Amsterdam

Diamond Fever was inspired by the Topkapi Palace‘s ‘Spoonmaker‘ diamond, which—rumor has it—was once found in the trash. The work was also influenced by the newly constructed glass and steel tower called ‘The Diamond of Istanbul.‘ Existing as an unlimited edition, each wooden box comes with an identical brilliant cut steel lattice accompanied by a unique arrangement of leftover materials that I had tasked a local architect to collect from small manufacturers in Istanbul that are, or will be in the future, under thread of being displaced by new developments.
