Inspired by contextual as well as formal tensions in the the office - studio relationship, I Prefer To connects Robert Probst’s 'Action Office' with the concepts and ideologies of Perpetual Motion, the art movement ‘Konkrete Kunst,’ and Herman Melville’s fictional character Bartleby - the Scrivener.
